Where blue and green and gray are swirled.
This world has mountains, forests, life.
As it has color, peace, and strife.
It holds life, from giants to mice,
And it holds death, from fangs to ice.
In this world, you fly through the air,
Gliding through gardens, fast as you dare.
Soaring to the great turquoise heights,
Diving to the darkest of nights.
We may visit this place, you and I,
But we cant stay, or others would cry.
For it is the sea I speak of.
Some of us try to tame it.
Others live in awe of its strength.

There once was a tree which thrived in my yard.
Throughout my whole life, it gave me great joy.
To sit in its shade, a book in my hands,
To live without care or worry or pain.
To climb in its arms to view all the world,
And watch its frail leaves tumble and flutter.
This tree truly was my refuge from life.
However one day, the leaves began falling;
Never returning, silent forever.
The bark started peeling and falling to Earth.
Slowly, from the inside, my tree was dying.
At first I said "No, it's doing just fine."
But then as the months began to creep by,
I knew it was time to let go at last.
I took down my axe and killed my dea
